On Bike to Work Day Thursday, May 9, 2013 the SFMTA unveiled a bike counter to raise awareness about the numbers of people biking down Market Street everyday on their commute. The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition set up a stop motion camera to capture the bike count, the final count on the day was 3,231.
